Sunday Scripture #1

So, I have this new blogging sequence that I'm going to be really proud of.
It is called. SUNDAY SCRIPTURE.
And, as the title suggests, I post only on SUNDAYS.
Also, as the title suggests, I post a verse of the Bible. :)

Here's the first:

So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and the door will be opened for you.      Luke 11:9, NET.

We ask ourselves, what is "it" in this sentence? Later, in Luke 11:13, it gives us the answer.

If you, then, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"     Luke 11:13, NET.

You see? Lately I've been wandering away from God's path for me to the lures of human nature and flesh. I had no idea how to get back on track with the Lord, but after this Bible study I did at church today suddenly things became clearer. I ask. It's as simple as that. I communicate with the Lord, tell him that I want the Holy Spirit in me again, and it will happen. You ask, you seek, and you knock. And then BAM! Bob's your uncle. As it said in the verse above, the heavenly Father will be more than willing to give us the Holy Spirit.

Tonight I'm going to pray, and ask God to help me get back along my path that He planned for me. Because as far as I know, I might as well have done a U turn and I'm going backwards to where I started. I don't want that. But without God, I can't help but have that, because I'm human and Satan and sin is more powerful than me. Without God, I can't resist the temptation of sinning and going back on God. But that's going to change. I'm going to pray for God to turn my back around, and force me in the way I need to go, which is closer with Him, and away from Satan.

First Day of Spring!!! {My Favorite Season}

Flower Photography - Pink Tulips Photograph Award Winning Photograph 8 x 10 Boston Public Gardens Photograph.

Spring.
Walk outside, and breathe, breathe the new air.
The air has been renewed.
A new feeling is in it.
It's crisp and freshness reminds me of
an apple pie straight from the oven.

Spring is here.

Then, inspect, inspect the stylish outfits on the street.
Mits, scarves, hats, and big puffy coats no longer
wrap around like vines on people.
The un-bulkyness of the people
makes them seem like they've lost a million of pounds.

Spring is here.

If you look close, close enough,
you can see the bright green buds on the trees.
They are bursting to grow, just give them a few days.
In a few days, the lonely bark
will be full with new leaves.

Spring is here.

Now, bend down, down to inspect the ground.
Green strands, poking furiously
to get through the dark, rich soil.
From far away, they look like the nails in a bed.
The tips of grass looking like the sharp, painful nails.

Spring is here.

After you look with wide eyes at the new surroundings,
ignore the vibe of excitement buzzing in the pit of your stomach.
Relax and calm down.
Breathe in the scent of the rebirth
of the world.
And say to yourself,

Spring.
Is.
Here.

I'm starting a new series! :D
It's called Let it Flow. Because often I click the new post button, but I sit and stare at the blank page. I can almost never decide on a *specific* blog post, I always have more than one idea. Today was one of those days so I just thought, well, why not just let my words flow out simply on the "page?"
So here I am, doing just that.

First off, I really want to thank the beautiful blog design that Rose made for me. Isn't it lovely? I thank her so much for dealing with the perfectionist side of me, and adding all of the cool stuff that I could never do. She's just amazing, yanno? Every time I go on my blog, I am absolutely WOWED by the design. GAH, just thank you so murrrch! You are loverly.
British cousin of the American Robin. According my British friend, Anita, they are "feisty wee beasties" ;D

Spring. Is. Here. Finally! (Here meaning where I am right now, which sadly, isn't Canada.) Kind of. I saw symptoms today, (finally) I saw snow melting (finally), and a cute little robin (finally,) and grass peeking out of the dark soil (finally,) and the sun shining bright against the clear blue sky (finally.) FINALLY!!! Although the forecast says that it's going to snow (again) tomorrow, I have high hopes that it won't. o.O I hope Canada is finally getting some Springiness, also. :D I wannna come back to a green grass, new buds, kinda view, not an all white scene I've been seeing all winter. My mummy is telling me not to get my hopes up, the disappointment will only crash harder down...... *sighs*

And is anyone competing in Camp NaNoWriMo for April?? Because this gurl is in need of some really awesome cabin mates. :D Ya? I no longer want to be a loner!! :D
My username is laurel317 (creative, right?)
Leave your username please and I will request you if you request me back!!

Shmanks so much everyone, and especially Rose again!

Life Is...

Life. It's something we have to live with. Everyone has one, and it's probably the center of their own universe. Because every single movement that you make, is you making your life. Every single word you say is you making your life. Every step that you take. Every day on the balcony (In summer, that is, because in winter it is WAY to cold) I like to stop, and look at all of the cars, all of the people. I think to myself, Where are they going? What's happening in their life? Isn't it just amazing? All of these people, all with their own lives.

Indeed it is. Be thankful that you are living your life, that you can breathe every breath you take. That you can say what you want to say, that you can do what you want to do. This is a reason why I like to enjoy the little things, even if it's just my fingers scrambling across the keyboard or drinking hot chocolate. I thank God that he gave me this life, that I can live it.

Indeed it is. Life is very tough. You are met with struggles, pain, suffering, anger, and plenty else of negative things. But as this quote says, you ARE stronger. With the help of friends, family, you can pull through whatever is challenging you. And after you do pull through, you will be so proud of yourself. Life is just a bunch of challenges that are coming your way. You just have to find a way to face them. I'm not saying that it will be easy, but I do know that everyone will have these moments, and everyone will somehow make it.

And finally, I just wanted to say this.
Life is wonderful.
Enjoy it. :D

Blog Challenge #2! (And other Jazz)

I've just decided to do them all in one post.... :D
Day 2: Favorite Quote(s)
My absolute favorite is

"Life is like a bicycle. To keep your balance, you need to keep moving."
~ Albert Einstein.

Day 3: What makes you happy?
When I'm feeling sad.... I do many things.
I talk to my friends to keep myself distracted from what's bothering me, take a long bath, sleep, read, watch movies, eat - like a lot, go for a walk.... Yeh. :P

Day 4: Best Childhood Memory
Oooh.... Well I really like the time when I was like... three or something. I was in the US, with my completely Chinese grandma. So she took me on a walk, and she was like, "Hey, Laurel, in case we get lost, remember that there's a red sign over there, okay?" And I was like three, so I just nodded and smiled. As we kept walking, though, my grandma got really confused. She noticed that there were so many of the same red signs, and we got lost. Dad had to come get us.... xD Turns out the red signs were stop signs....

Day 5: Favorite movies you never get sick of watching.
All Disney Princess movies, (Modern and Classic), High School Musical, The Sound of Music (Yeh I know, I'm such an oldie :P), Despicable Me, The Spy Next Door (Probably my favorite among all of these)

And yeah!
Time for other jazz!
So I placed an order for a new blog design at Rosie's designing website. I really thank Anna for her wonderful design, but after five months, I would like a new start. :D

Also, I'm going to be guest posting at Lizzy's at the end of March!!!!! IM SO EXCITED LIKE GOSH!! Keep an eye out!

Also, I have been working on the Princess of Perildton series, third part is coming soon!!
And I think that's it. Thank you for reading, my lovelies!!
